Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 November 2026
Todo is a Mac app for Apple Reminders. It runs only on your Mac. It has no server, no account, no analytics, and no advertising. This policy explains what Todo does with your Google data when you connect Google Tasks.
What Todo accesses
- Google Tasks (the
tasksscope): the titles, notes, and due dates of your open tasks, and the names of your task lists. Todo also marks the tasks it imported as completed. - Your email address (the
emailscope): only to show which account is signed in, in Todo’s Settings.
How Todo uses it
Todo copies each open Google task into Apple Reminders on your Mac, then marks it completed in Google Tasks. That is the only thing it does with your Google data. Todo does not read anything else in your Google account.
Where your data goes
- Your tasks go from Google straight to your Mac, then into Apple Reminders, which syncs through your own iCloud account as usual.
- Todo sends your Google data to no one else: not to any server, not to any third party.
- Todo does not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
What Todo stores
- Your Google sign-in (a refresh token) and your OAuth client details are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac.
- The ids of recently imported tasks are kept on your Mac for 30 days, so a task is never imported twice.
- Imported tasks live in Apple Reminders, under your control.
Removing access
Sign out in Todo > Settings > Google Tasks to delete the sign-in from your Mac. You can also remove Todo’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Tasks already copied stay in Reminders until you delete them there.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Todo’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
